About me

Every step led here

My work as a massage therapist is shaped by a life spent learning how people live in their bodies and how we return to them.

2014–2018 — Navy service

I served in the U.S. Navy, where chronic pain and fatigue were constant companions. In the middle of that, I found yoga and felt my breath for the first time in years. That moment changed the way I approached my own body, and eventually, how I work with yours.

2018 — First yoga teacher training

After leaving the Navy, I completed my first 200-hour yoga teacher training at San Diego Community College. It was my first deep dive into movement as medicine and it shaped how I understand alignment, breath, and rest.

2019 — Psychology and literacy justice

I began college in New York, studying psychology and discovering a passion for literacy justice, the belief that reading, writing, and self-expression are human rights.

2019–2020 — Bali teacher training

Later that year, I traveled to Bali for my second 200-hour yoga teacher training. The month-long retreat deepened my relationship with movement and stillness, and my ability to hold space for others.

2020–2021 — University of Alaska

I continued my psychology studies at the University of Alaska, focusing on the mind-body connection and the ways we carry our life stories physically.

2021–2022 — Massage therapy school in Alaska

I completed a 950-hour massage therapy program, nearly double the minimum required in many states, and performed 80 professional massages in a real clinic before graduating. My training blended anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic techniques with movement practices like yoga and Tai Chi.

2022 — Opening Body Philosophy Massage

I opened my Boise practice, dedicated to body literacy, nervous system–aware care, and the simple act of resting well.

2025 — Completing my degree

I’m finishing my B.A. in Professional and Public Writing at Boise State University. This academic path, like my bodywork, is about stories, the ones our bodies hold and the ones we choose to tell.
